Singin' in the Rain is based on the celebrated Metro Goldwyn Mayer film, widely regarded as one of the greatest movie musicals ever made. With a screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed, the story captures a turning point in Hollywood history as silent cinema gives way to sound.
Meet the cast
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer and Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson will share the role of Lina Lamont in the new tour.
Grant Almirall will play Don Lockwood alongside Nicole-Lily Baisden as Kathy Selden, while Matthew Maddison returns as Cosmo Brown and Coronation Street favourite Wendi Peters joins them as Dora Bailey.
This stage production, directed by Jonathan Church, has enjoyed great success since its premieres at Chichester Festival Theatre and in the West End..
