Victoria Wood's classic comedy dinnerladies is returning as a new theatre adaptation, premiering at Manchester Opera House before touring the UK until August.
The production is the first of Victoria Wood's works to be commissioned by her Estate and will feature a brand-new story inspired by the original BBC sitcom.
Les Dennis has been confirmed as the first cast member, taking on the role of maintenance man Stan.
Originally broadcast between 1998 and 2000, dinnerladies became one of Britain's best-loved sitcoms thanks to Victoria Wood's sharp writing and memorable characters.
